Service Manager

Summary:

Responsible for managing shop team and overseeing company’s heavy equipment maintenance operations.

Duties:
  • Field service calls and address customer service issues in a timely manner
  • Prioritize, schedule and delegate heavy equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Supervise and provide direction to team of mechanics, technicians, welders and parts personnel
  • Oversee equipment inspections, diagnostic and repair to ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturer recommendations
  • Maintain and review accurate and complete work orders, job tickets, warranty records, etc.
  • Establish productivity goals, track progress and review employee performance
  • Maintain a cleanly shop environment and enforce safety procedures and precautions
  • Collaborates with rental manager to inspect, prepare and deliver fully serviced rental equipment
  • Reports to and collaborates with company President to ensure equipment meets customer’s needs
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, advanced degree(s) or certification a plus
  • 3-5 years of management experience in shop setting
  • Must be hands-on, knowledgeable and willing to assist with mechanical and technical repairs
  • Knack for troubleshooting and identifying equipment problems and developing solutions
  • Strong leadership and effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Outstanding organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to work outside of office hours to meet production deadlines

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Summary:

Responsible for the mechanical service, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment.

Duties:
  • Perform preventative equipment maintenance
  • Inspect equipment for repair needs
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems
  • Develop repair solutions and repair all types of mechanical systems including: electrical, brakes, steering, suspensions, drive trains, differentials, transfer cases, transmissions, engines, HVAC systems, and hydraulic systems.
  • Maintain accurate and complete work orders, job tickets, warranty records, etc.
  • Collaborate with service manager to ensure safe and timely completion of equipment
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience working with mechanical systems and/or heavy machinery
  • Knowledge and familiarity with all facets of mechanical and technical systems
  • Knack for troubleshooting and identifying equipment problems and developing solutions
  • Motivation to complete assigned tasks in a professional and timely manner
  • Ability to adhere to all shop safety procedures
  • Enthusiasm for learning new skills and technology
  • Willingness to work outside of office hours to meet production deadlines
  • Welding experience a plus

Warehouse & Shipping Associate

Summary:

Responsible for maintaining organization in our shop by assisting with inbound and outbound freight, preparing and bundling parts and providing shop maintenance.

Duties:
  • Load and unload heavy equipment and materials from trailers, trucks, pallets and trays
  • Move equipment and materials using fork lift to stack or assemble as needed
  • Assist with rental equipment check-in and check-out
  • Wash and prepare equipment for shipment or service work
  • Pull, count, weigh, verify and bundle parts orders
  • Organize equipment and freight to maintain suitable work space
  • Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound freight and materials
  • Prepare shipping and receiving documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Plow snow as needed
  • Reports to service manager
  • Process small package shipping and receiving orders
  • Responsible for cleanliness of building, warehouse, lots, shipping and receiving areas
  • Adhere to all shop and equipment safety rules and regulations
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in warehouse or shop setting preferred
  • Valid driver’s license & good driving record
  • Valid forklift truck operator license preferred
  • Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 80 pounds
