Rig Source is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team.
Rig Source has been in business for over 20 years and has the world’s largest Geotechnical and Environmental rental fleet in the world.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment. Rig Source services Geoprobe, CME, Diedrich, and many more. You will work closely with other technicians and our operations team to provide high-quality customer service and ensure that all equipment is well maintained and safe to operate. The position requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and diagnostic tests on heavy equipment to identify issues and malfunctions including engine overhauls, oil changes, filter replacements, and hydraulic system repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical or electrical issues following OEM schematics.
- Work closely with parts team to determine parts and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and maintenance schedules.
- Perform quality checks on equipment after maintenance and repairs are completed.
- Conduct equipment inspections and make recommendations for repairs or replacement.
- Utilize ERP system for entering time on jobs with detailed scope of work.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment as needed.
- Communicate with operations team and other technicians to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with at least 2-3 years of experience in repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.
- Experience with hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:

- Implement inventory control measures to ensure accurate tracking and replenishment of parts and accessories.
- Procurement:
