There are several advantages of ordering your new drill rig through us. First, we regularly preorder new rigs; which means that, you the customer, will be able to receive delivery of a new rig sooner than if you ordered direct with Diedrich. Second, we can custom order a crawler carrier to have your new rig mounted on. Third, we can find a used carrier for your new rig, have it painted to your choice of color and make any additional fabrications to your specification. Finally, you can rent one of our Diedrich D-50 or Diedrich D-120 drill rigs mounted on Morooka crawler carriers while you are waiting for your new drill rig to arrive. When ordering a new rig, you can customize it just the way you like it.  You can select the type of drill that you want, such as Diedrich Drill’s Turbo Track (D-50) and your choice of a Morooka or IHI crawler carrier, or truck mounted rig.  You can also select the options that you want; which may include, but not limited to, the type and capacity of water pump, tool boxes, auger and rod racks, breakout wrenches, water tank, quantity and size of winches.

Diedrich Drill Rigs
  • D-25 –This is an all purpose drill rig for shallow soil and rock exploration and monitoring well installation.  It is ideal for drilling in areas with low clearance or difficult access.  It is a heavy duty small sized rig capable of performing auger and rotary drilling and rock coring.  Can be purchased with a gasoline or diesel engine.  Spindle torque is generally rated at 2,320 to 3,066 foot pounds.
  • D-50 –Diedrich Drill’s most popular rig, is used for soil and rock exploration using augers, rotary or core drilling tools. An economical mid-size rig adaptable to many types of mountings. Optional low-overhead clearance feed frame. This unit is generally rated to depths of 125 feet using augers and 1,000 feet of core drilling using N-size tools. Maximum spindle torque is rated at 4,316 to 8.327 foot pounds.
  • D-90 - Heavy-duty drill rig for soil and rock exploration for both geotechnical and environmental work. Rated to depths of 150 ft. to 300 ft. with augers and 1500 ft. with core drilling. Maximum spindle torque is rated at 9,800 foot pounds.
  • D-120 –This is Diedrich Drill’s top of the line drill rig. It is a heavy duty drill rig for soil and rock exploration using augers, rotary tools or core drilling tools. Rated to depths of 200 ft.(61 m) to 350 ft. (107 m) with hollow stem or continuous flight augers up to 19 inch (483 mm) hole size. Rated to 2000 linear feet (610m) of core drilling using NW series tools. The drill can be powered by numerous engine options which include a 6-cylinder industrial gasoline engine and 6-cylinder industrial diesel engine.
