Going on Now – Fire Prevention Week

October 7, 2013 by Savannah Adkins

There is no better time to focus on fire prevention and safety than during fire prevention week. Here in Elburn, Illinois Rig Source has chosen to become a proud sponsor of Kaneland Public Fire and Safety Foundation. The Kaneland Public Fire and Safety Foundation is a not-for-profit foundation created by the fire chiefs within the districts that protect Kaneland schools and the surrounding communities. The goal of the foundation is to provide complete fire prevention education to all the students and residents within the community. In order to achieve this goal, they depend on financial support from local business’ like Rig Source as well as residential members of the community. One hundred percent of the donations collected go to purchasing educational materials for the students. Last year the Kaneland Public Fire and Safety Foundation taught approximately 2,000 students, and it is our hope and theirs that they continue to grow. Here at Rig Source we take fire prevention and safety seriously in order to provide our employees with a safe working environment. We put a great deal of effort to keep our own employees as well as customers aware of current fire prevention and safety standards set forth by OSHA. A few of the ways that this is done is through tool box talks, in house trainings, safety videos, and workshops. Additionally, we recently began announcing safety milestones as well as up to date employee news on our Facebook page.
